Miso Soup and Sushi Dinner!
A Fun Doggy Dinner
I LOVE cooking for my animals. Their coats stay silky and shiny, teeth mostly clean on their own, and most importantly their behavior is amazing. They love it because it's something "new" every night, and really enriches their life! Kibble will never bring this much joy to your furry friend.
Here is a quick easy sushi and "miso" soup recipe!
The sushi:
- Rice
- Chia seeds
- Quinoa
- Hemp Heart Seeds
- Seaweed Wrap
- Sardines (canned)
Take the rice, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and quinoa into a bowl; measuring the quinoa and rice into half cups, and the seeds into table spoons. Wash the grains and seeds with cold water and drain out that water. Move it all into a pot and measure out 2 cups water to pour into the pot. Bring to a boil, and cook like it's just rice. Once cooked, take your seaweed wrap and lay out the multi grain rice mixture onto the seaweed like you would for any other sushi recipe. Then open your can of sardines and save the water in it! Take out 1-2 sardines (depending on size) and roll it into the sushi roll. You don't need to cut it up, but you can if you want to!
Miso Soup:
- Water from sardine can
- Water
- Tofu
- Collard Green
Combine both waters into a pot. Add in tofu and a collard green. Try to pick a hardy green so it doesn't disintegrate when boiled. If you want to add extra flavor, mix in a tiny bit of pure sesame seed oil.
There you have it! A quick easy and affordable dinner to serve to your beloved friend. Please keep in mind that if your dog has not had cooked or raw foods before, please take the time to acclimate them to these foods.
Bon Appetit
